Step - 4 : Unlock your device(some device will not supported) through Recovery Mode:
Perform this step if the boot-loader of the device is unlocked. You can use the recovery mode to wipe the user data to remove the pattern lock from the device. Erasing the user data via recovery mode will factory reset the device and the pattern will be removed. However, the device will be locked with the Mi Account. Then you need to enter the Mi Account Password during the setup process.
I would request you to perform the below mentioned steps for Wipe User Data:
Please note, doing below mentioned steps will erase all the data of your device.
1)Try to switch off the device
2)Press the power key along with the volume up key
3)Now, the touchscreen will not work so use the "Power Button to confirm any option" and "Volume Up and Volume Down button for navigating"
4)Select language
5)Wipe and reset
6)Wipe user data
7)Confirm it as "Yes"
8)Let it complete to 100%
9)Select "Back" option
10)Select "Power Off" option
11)Try to restart the device
