Citiraj:
Here's how: - right mouse click 'My Computer' select 'Manage'
- click 'Disk Management'
- you should see in the top right of the window any harddrives on your system and your USB drive (under volumes e.g. F: )
- on the lower right of the window you should see all drives (HDD, CD ROMS, DVDs etc) listed as Disk 0, Disk 1, Disk 2 etc and also their size and status (e.g. online etc)
- Your HDD is usually Disk 0
- You should also see your USB drive identified as 'removeable' and 'online' (assuming its plugged in!)
- You'll also see the fake CD-ROM drive that it sets up, along with any real CD-ROM or DVD drives you have
- Your real CD-ROMs/DVD drives will have their usual drive letter listed (eg. D: ) and may also say 'no media' assuming it doesn't have a dvd/cd disk in it
- The fake CD-ROM drive will simply show 'Online'
- Right mouse click on the fake CD-ROM drive (where it says CD-ROM) and click on 'Change Drive Letters and Paths'
- then select the drive letter and click 'Remove'
- a threatening msg 'Removing the drive letter may cause programs to no longer run' – that's what we want!
- click 'Yes' and you won't see it anymore (you can also reverse the process and bring it back, by choosing 'Add' instead of 'Remove', and giving it a drive letter)
ciao
