AMD Ryzen 7800X3D/7900X3D to Launch in November 2022, 2 Months After Ryzen 7800X and 7900X
Citiraj:
AMD will be following up its Ryzen 7000 launch with the Ryzen 7000X3D processors in quick succession in the last quarter of the year. The Zen 4 core architecture will be largely identical to Zen 3 on the surface. The client platform will get up to two 5nm (N5) CCDs with 16 cores and 64MB of L3 cache alongside a 6nm (N6) I/O die featuring 24 PCIe Gen 5 lanes and DDR5-5400 memory. The cores should get wider and the caches fatter to feed the faster execution units and the improved branch predictor. The Ryzen 7000 desktop processors, codenamed Raphael are slated for launch this fall, probably on the 15th of September. AMD will roll out four high-end processors, namely the Ryzen 5 7600X, Ryzen 7 7800X, Ryzen 9 7900X, and the 7950X. These will pack 6, 8, 12, and 16 cores, respectively, and battle Intel’s premier Alder Lake/Raptor lake parts.

The Ryzen 7000X3D lineup codenamed Raphael-X is being primed for launch just two months after Raphael. As already stated in AMD’s Financial Analyst Day 2022 presentation, these chips will land in the last quarter of the year. A November launch is highly likely. With Zen 4D, we should see multiple SKUs including the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and possibly even the Ryzen 9 7900X3D. The 3D V-Cache on these SKUs may vary from 64MB to 128MB with the latter packing two cache dies, one atop each CCD. Considering this roadmap, the chances of additional Ryzen 5000X3D parts are quite low, although I wouldn’t write it off entirely. We may yet see a Ryzen 5 5600X3D as AMD has been losing market share to Intel in that segment for a while now. With the next-gen Ryzen 7000 parts sticking to the high-end space, for the time being, a competitive budget Zen 3/Zen 3D part seems like a good idea.

AMD Ryzen 7000-Series Likely to Launch On or Before the 4th of August
Citiraj:
Courtesy of Planet 3DNow! we now know when AMD will be launching the Ryzen 7000-series of CPU's, as the site posted about an upcoming AMD event called Meet the Experts on Twitter. The event registration page reads "Supporting the recent launch of AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors," which suggests that the new Ryzen 7000-series is likely to launch on or before the 4th of August. The event takes place at 11:00 in the morning, CET (Central Daylight Time) or 16:00 UTC. The event will showcase motherboards from AMD's partners and representatives from ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Gigabyte and MSI will be attending the online event. There's still no mention of the B650E chipset, but apparently X670E and X670 products will be shown, but not even B650 at this point. Based on the short summary blurb, we're also likely to see a PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD being shown off. AMD will obviously have a separate launch event for the Ryzen 7000-series, but if that will take place on the same day, or on a different date, is unknown at this point.
