AMD has decided not to release series 7 chipsets for Intel CPU's, thus putting an end to the RD700, RS700, and RC710.
Citiraj:
Here is a breakdown of the expected chipsets:- RD790 will adopt PCIe 2.0 - this will be the high end chipset, scheduled for Q4
- RX780 will be the mainstream chipset, scheduled for Q3
- RS740 will feature an integrated DX9 capable GPU, scheduled for Q3
- RS780 will have a DX10 capable GPU with AMD's "UVD" (universal video decoder) scheduled for Q4

The chipsets will initially use the existing SB600 southbridge, but apparently AMD plans to release a SB700 in Q4.
