For now, the only desktop processor from Intel boasting a 1600 MHz FSB is the yet to be released Core 2 Extreme QX9770 (3.2 GHz) but that didn't keep Asus from making sure quite a few of its motherboards are ready and willing to support that front-side bus. The list of boards that are 1600 FSB compatible and the BIOS versions that make it happen can be viewed below and it
contains Intel G33, P35 and X38 boards but it doesn't include nForce 780i or X48 models, at least not yet.
