Ja sam imao 2 slot-in (Pioneer) uređaja i nijednom se taj mehanizam nije pokvario. Prvi sam prodao zato jer sam uzeo DVD čitač koji radi već godinu dana bez problema. Znam isto 5-6 frendova koji imaju Pioneer slot-in DVD i nijednom se taj mehanizam nije pokvario, a koriste ih 2-3 g.
Što se tiče kvarova, događaju se na svim uređajima. Uvijek postoji određeni postotak lošijih primjeraka (jeftina pro.) ali općenito nisam ču da se kvare više od tray uređaja.
