Dear Gigabyte,
I have a very big problem and don't know what to do. Smart Fan feature is
activated in BIOS and set to Auto. I turned on (from stand by) my computer
few days ago and CPU cooler was spinned up to 2700 rpm (no speed
reduction) while system fan wasn't started. Tried to change Smart Fan to
Disable and again to Auto but nothing happens. In addition, flashed BIOS to
the newest version (F8), removed CMOS battery for one hour,... Didn't work.
When attached directly to PSU, both CPU and system fan is working OK.
Removed MBO from case, closely reviewed the upside PCB and there is no
burned components but on the bottom side of PCB is some dark fleck above
CPU socket. Also, few pins of the CPU socket, DIMM slot and USB header
looks strange, like as paste flow around it. I taken away motherboard to the
local Gigabyte purchase dealer (Ve-mil d.o.o.) but they didn't accept it and
said: "Gigabyte don't accept burned motherboards". Is this true? Can you help
me? I'm not guilty for this, happend like a thunderbolt attack from clear sky.
I'm very sad...

There is few pictures of motherboard in attachment. You can

Thanks for reply. I have one more question: can I ask my retailer (Ve-mil d.o.o)
for better Gigabyte motherboard via warranty? Example GA-965P-DS3P or
DS4 instead of GA-965P-S3 again? What's difference between DS3P and
DS4 except heatpipe cooling?
I would like to solve these problems, the time for reply isn't matter. Thank again.
