Now that the new patch is live Tero Sarkkinen, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Futuremark Corporation, expressed that "the new version is published to make sure that our customers can get an objective 3DMark03 performance comparison with the latest hardware and drivers. Our customers will be able to perform apples-to-apples performance comparisons between the various IHVs' graphics cards."
Nordichhardware has now tested build 330 against build 340 with an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Catalyst 3.9) and Nvidia GeForce FX 5950 (ForceWare 52.16). The results are quite interesting as the Nvidia drivers loose 13% in overall score and at various tests throughout the comparison deliver they produce lower results. Wonder how that driver got approved then...
