This tweak will force Windows to get rid of files from RAM after programs have been closed down. Highlight the Explorer key, then go Edit | New | Key and name the key AlwaysUnloadDLL. Double click the new key and give it a default value of 1. [DEFAULT=0]

To nije za Windowse XP, već samo za starije verzije Windowsa. Win XP sam po sebi ima takvu sličnu funkiju. Dodavanje ovog registry keya niš ne mjenja.
