IT IS a kind of a secret that Nvidia asked all its partners not to send out two 7950 GX2 cards to reviewers.
Because the reviewers might tumble the fact that using the two cards in a Quad SLI setup just won't work.
The graphics firm told its partners that the driver is not ready yet. Even if you you are lucky enough to buy or get two cards they simply won't work together, at least not yet.
There is no timelime but the 7950 GX2 Quad SLI driver should be available soon. Red-faced Nvidians are surely beavering away on it as we speak. We will let you know when we hear more about the issue.?Nvidia does want to make things right this time.
For the time being, you will have to hold your breath on Quad SLI 7950 GX2 cards, so don't dash out and buy a second one. Not yet.
