OK, I found the problem with the smearing textures! There are 2 textures which are sized incorrectly:

jmrock01.dds
jmrock01_n.dds
jmrocksnow03.dds
jmrocksnow03_n.dds

You can either resize them yourself for now, or just delete them. They'll be fixed in the next patch. The interesting thing is that the NVidia cards seem to fix correct this problem on their own but the ATI cards do not.

The closer texture brightness corrections are coming along great, but there's more of them than I thought, so the download is going to be larger than I expected.
