id Software has confirmed that users of nVidia’s GeForce 576.40 “Game Ready” driver may suffer from “persistent crashing” when playing the game on PC. Sadly, this is the only driver that id Software recommends playing the game with, suggesting that gamers should reboot their systems and reinstall the driver if they run into issues. Another thing to note is that several of DOOM The Dark Ages’ known issues are exclusive to users of nVidia RTX 40 or RTX 50 series GPUs.
