The Red Devil Radeon RX 9070 XT, which we already revealed has a 3.0 GHz boost clock out of the box, will also have high power supply requirement of 900-watt. The box indicates that the RX 9070 XT will need a 900W PSU. Quick check confirms that there are indeed overclocked variants with increased power requirements; however, the stock (reference) requirement seems to be 750W. For instance:

• PowerColor RX 9070 Reaper: 650W (2x 8-pin) AMD Reference Specs
• PowerColor RX 9070 XT Reaper: 750W (2x 8-pin) AMD Reference Specs
• PowerColor RX 9070 XT Red Devil: 900W (3x 8-pin) OC Specs

As you can see, the default is 750W. If you opt for a reference model or anything priced at MSRP, chances are you will not need to upgrade your PSU. Furthermore, the non-XT version is said to have a 650W PSU requirement. For comparison, PowerColor’s RX 7700 XT Fighter (AMD reference spec) needs a 750W PSU, and the 7900 GRE also needs a 750W PSU. In fact, even the 7800 XT Fighter needs 750W. As we can see, the power requirement hasn’t changed, and we are definitely looking at a sub-300W TBP, given that all these cards have 245-263W specs. The Red Devil, however, should exceed 300W.

Primjera radi, referentna RX 7800 XT zapravo troši ~250W, dok custom modeli idu na kakvih 275W+ ili 300W+, a svi imaju preporučeno napajanje od 750W.

I sad bude slična situacija, odnosno RX 9070 modeli imaju preporučena napajanja (za cijelu konfiguraciju) koja uvelike nadilaze njihove realne potrošnje.
