Ja mislim da ti dramiš više nego ja i iznosiš argumente koje ja nisam uopće niti spominjao. Dugo godina sam koristio windowse, gurao sam sedmicu dok je išla, i bio sam svjestan da na desetku ne budem išao kada nabavim novi komp. I tako je i bilo. Nisam srao ni po ovima ni po onima, meni je taj alat dobro služio. Osmica mi je bila teški trash tako to nisam imao nikakvu namjeru koristiti.
Mene kao mene windows za dnevno korištenje ne zanima, prije svega iz razloga privatnosti. Za moj use case linux software je dostatan. Iz moje perspektive, izbor softwera na linuxu je ogroman i meni dostatan. Kada bih morao koristiti nešto iz windows sfere onda bih morao koristiti windows, očito. Kako ne moram, ne moram.
Moje jedino iskustvo s windows 11 je bila instalacija na poslovnom laptopu, gdje je OS uredno, čisto i bez ikakvih problema instaliran da bi na kraju, nakon zadnjeg reboota kojeg obično napravim na samom kraju da vidim je li sve OK, jednostavno na bootupu pošao u BSOD. Nešto vezano sa SSD. Nakon sat vremena troubleshootanja više mi se nije dalo, vratio sam se na 10 i ostavio tako. Sve normalno, normalna instalacija i na kraju ne ode u BSOD na bootu.
Ako mi je najveći problem na linuxu to da mi nakon nekoliko buđenja iz standby zapne taj jebeni adapter (inače ja bežične miševe ne preferiram, nego Master 3S ne postoji žičana verzija), neka ga. Htio bih to riješiti ako je izvedivo, ako nije sigurno se zbog toga neću vratiti na windows. Ovo što mi je do sada dva puta u 5 godina zaspao cijeli front USB header, to mi također ne igra pretjeranu ulogu. Ono što bih najradije promijenio je da stavim adapter otraga tako da oslobodim jedan port ispred, jer mi trebaju oba povremeno. Tako da ako to uspijem riješiti s resetiranjem USB kontrolera ili porta ili šta li, onda mi ovo praktično više neće predstavljati nikakav problem.
S druge strane, ako ovo usporedim s povremenim problemima na windows 10 laptopu mogu kazati da je windows puno problematičniji. Suspend to RAM nije radio nikako na laptopu, teška katastrofa. Suspend to RAM na kompu s linuxom radi puno bolje. Možda je to više do laptopa, a možda su u šumi.
Dalje, nakon buđenja iz standby windows redovito izgubi mrežu (LAN) i ponekad treba čekati i preko minutu da dođe sebi. Dalje, pokretanje iz hibernacije na laptopu traje znatno dulje nego S4 na kompu, logično. Dalje, windows management na windowsima je po meni katastrofa. Rasporedim si tri prozora, jedan na pola širine ekrana, druga dva po pola druge polovice ekrana, i on uporno, u raznim situacijama, te prozore s polovine visine prebaci na punu visinu. Smiješno.
Dalje, povremeno, ali redovito windowsi na lapotpu se smrznu, odnosno baš jako uspore, prilikom shutdowna. Obično prije nego napravim povremeni reboot koristim službene MS alate da malo počistim kramu (Disc cleanup utility) jer windows takve stvari baš iznimno voli gomilati. Napravim reboot i laptop se jedva dovuče do desktopa. Perforrmanse kao da je CPU ostao na pola jedne jezgre i 512 MB RAMa. Pustim ga da se "stabilizira" da vidim hoće li doći sebi i ništa. Napravim još jedan reboot i nakon deset minuta vrati se na desktop i ponaša se kao da ništa nije bilo, sve po starom.
Možda je to sve zbog samog laptopa, možda je nešto od toga potaknuto i mojim načinom korištenja (mjeseci hibernacije) ali činjenica je da OS super čist, samo nužni minimum instaliranog softwera, ne koristim ga nizašto drugo ne za posao. Nema na njemu nikakvih privatnih pizdarija, sutra si ga mogu uzet natrag i dati na forenzičku analizu ako hoće. U skoro 6 godine ove firme dva puta samo otvorio portale (ono jednom kada je imbex tražio od čitatelja da potvrde da nisu članovi HDZa). Nikakvi eksperimenti, samo i isključivo alati potrebni za obavljanje posla.
Suma sumarum: svatko ima svoji način upotrebe, potrebe, očekivanja i iskustvo. Ja sam danas updejtao BIOS, trajalo je puno kraće nego inače, ne znam je li to dobro ili loše. Budem vidio kako će se ponašati ovaj tjedan.

They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don’t want: They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. Thats against their interests. Thats right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting f*cked by a system that threw them overboard 30 f*cking years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, 'cause they own this f*cking place. It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head in their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table is tilted folks. The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people -- white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on -- good honest hard-working people continue -- these are people of modest means -- continue to elect these rich c*cksuckers who don’t give a f*ck about them. They don’t give a f*ck about you. They don’t give a f*ck about you. They don't care about you at all -- at all -- at all. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth: it's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.
