Intel Core Ultra 285K/265K and 245K review leaks out
Citiraj:
The media has all three processors which are set to launch tomorrow (285K, 265K and 245). The review appears to be unfinished; hence there are missing details such as memory configurations, but it appears that the system is using Kingston DDR5-8400 memory from what we can see in the CPU-Z data. Perhaps the biggest unknowns until now were gaming performance and power/energy efficiency. According to the media the Arrow Lake-S CPUs won’t challenge the 14900KS, the flagship model within the (still) current series. In OC3D Tom Logan’s own words, “Core i9-14900KS is still the unchallenged king of the hill in nearly all scenarios”. The Core Ultra 200S series does not hold the top position in gaming benchmarks. It appears that the i5-13600K and i5-14600K can offer higher performance than even the flagship 285K, as shown. Compared to the 14th Gen Core series, the new series appears to be using less power and generate less heat, while the flagship Ryzen 9 9950X seems to require less power under load in OCCT benchmark.
