AMD FSR 3 now available - open-source code to come soon

AMD announced today that the Windows games Immortals of Aveum and Forspoken are available today with their FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) upscaling technology. More games making use of FSR 3 are on the way and the open-source code drop of FSR 3 is coming at a later date. AMD announced that the first games making use of FSR 3 are now available for this image upscaling tech. Unlike Intel XeSS and NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR is fully open-source albeit the initial code drop of FSR 3 is coming later. The company announced that it is working with game developers to bring FSR 3 support to "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora," "Cyberpunk 2077," "Warhammer II: Space Marine," "Frostpunk 2," "Alters," "Squad," "Starship Troopers: Extermination," "Black Myth: Wukong," "Crimson Desert," and "Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth."

AMD also listed some big names in game publishing/development as well as big game engines, including Ascendant, Square Enix, Ubisoft, CD Projekt Red, Saber Interactive, Focus Entertainment, 11-bit Studios, Unreal Engine, Sega, and Bandai Namco Reflector. Notably, the launch of AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) is considered a preview release, not yet in its final form. AMD is actively seeking feedback from gamers to enhance its performance. This technology can be activated either through HYPR-X, the convenient one-click boost option within Radeon drivers, or on a per-game basis through the preconfigured game profiles.
