3. Pri večoj temperaturi termalna vodljivost raste i svaki proizvođač može koristiti tj oglašavati vrijednost koju želi.

Prmjer tablice termalne vodljivost za neke metale, tekućine i plinove.

The Thing with thermal conductivity is that you can make it whatever you want.

You can make it the way that it suits you.

Easy example is liquid metal.

Thermal conductivity is dependent on temperature and there is no real standard for it.

Lot of standard testing machines are testing at 20 degrees Celsius then you can argue that's too far away from application (operating temperatures) so I tested 100 degrees Celsius

GAMERS NEXUS: I remember asking the same question at LTX : Which one produces the better number ?

der8auer: The higher temperature !

GAMERS NEXUS: That's what I thought.

But the higher temperature is more realistic but it also produces a more advantageous marketing.

der8auer: Yeah, but I can also test at 500 Celsius

GAMERS NEXUS: Okay, why don't you do that ?

der8auer: To be fully honest we did that. Okay not at 500 but at a higher temperature.

There is no standard for testing thermal conductivity - W/mK.

Thermal conductivity for specific material (paste/pad) is a curve and you don't define it at what point it's actually tested.

We're also giving a temperature range.

I'm not sure what it is for liquid metal but it might be like up to 350 degrees Celsius or something like that.

I can test at -10, or I can test at plus 350 and I can make make it look the way I want.

Last 3 years, we don't advertise thermal conductivity - W/mK on our products because it is not a good way to do it and it's kind of misleading.

I think the the best way to do it is that we send it to reviewers and the reviewer is just comparing paste A versus paste B or this product and then show what the real differences is.

I think the longevity and the application is much more important than if it's one or two degrees Celsius better.

Just check reviews and if the result is so close to each other, then just check what other properties the paste has.

No matter which manufacturer it is, just check if it's maybe cheaper , maybe if it's easier to apply or maybe if the comments say it lasts longer.
