Porsche Taycan and Volkswagen ID.3 cars are Battery Electric vehicles, featuring LG Energy Lithium-Ion pouch cell batteries. The same type of cells are also used on Chevrolet Bolt, Hyundai Kona, and Chrysler Pacifica Hybrids. Every Chevrolet Bolt and Hyundai Kona electric has had to have the battery pack replaced due to manufacturing defects in the battery packs. Chrysler just announced their recall.
