The new SHIELDs have Dolby audio trans coding now and it's enabled by default so netflix EAC3 can be streamed to older AC3 receivers. With the Dolby stack enabled, SHIELD needs to output fixed Volume and the volume should be adjusted at the receiver. This mean shields fixed volume feature is enabled by default on the new SHIELDS and can't be turned on, until you disable dolby.
If you don't need dolby processing, you can turn it off in the advanced sound settings in display and sound settings and then you can turn off fixed volume and you'll get the SHIELD digital volume adjustment that's on by deafult in the older SHIELDS.

Dakle, dok god ti je u postavkama zvuka upaljen "Fixed Volume" i "Dolby processing", ne može se kontrolirati Android media volume, jer Shield smatra da će se volumen kontrolirati na receiveru.
Što se tiče IR kontrole volumena, ja sam uspio nakon što sam napravio Turn Off na Shieldu i ponovno upalio. (btw, kad napravite Turn Off, jedini način da upalite Shield je da ga ištekate iz struje i ponovno uštekate, preglupo). Ne znam je li ovo do Shielda ili mog televizora jer sam imao problema i sa Firestickom, imaju marku televizora u bazi (Telefunken), ali kad šalju testne kodove za volumen, ništa se ne događa.
