Telekom Austria Group has begun the rebranding of its Slovenian unit Si.mobil under the group’s A1 banner. A Si.mobil press release says the company began using the A1 brand from 12 April, and the telco is preparing a new converged offer which will be launched in the coming days. The new offer is expected to combine its mobile offerings with its broadband, IPTV and fixed telephony services.
Si.mobil is currently the second largest cellco in Slovenia, with around 29% of all subscribers at the end of 2016 according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, while it is active in the fixed line sector via Amis, a triple-play provider which was acquired by Telekom Austria in September 2015. Amis was merged into Si.mobil in April 2016 and, going forward, both firms will now operate as A1 Slovenia.
