Iako bi volio ali cisto sumljam da ce ryzen doci u gejmingu do performansi kabya u iducih mjesec/dva kad se biosi popeglaju.
Skokova u performansama ce biti, ali ne u mjeri kako bi ti zelio. Rekao bi da ako u ovim naslovima na 1080p u kojima dost kaska smanji zaostatak na 5% naspram 6900k... bit ce to puna saka brade.
Sve vise od toga je iluzorno ocekivati u prvih par mjeseci, bar po meni. 10ak god dominacije prakticki slicne arhotekture ostavi traga na softveru, to je nesto sto se nemre promjeniti u iducih mjesec dana.

Naravno da bi priče o nekakvom naknadnom poboljšanju gaming performansi bile smješne da kao što recenzenti ističu cpu fakat nema pokriće u ostalim benchmarcima (uključujući i singlecore). Obećanih 40% IPC naspram excavatora ne samo da su ostvarili nego i prebacili na 52% u mnogim scenarijima. Zato ta gaming zaostajanja na 1080p tipa da ryzen ima 100 fps, a broadwell-e 120fps nemaju logike. Mislim ono, švabo promjeni ploču i kaže ima boost od 4% do 27% jbte, ej o čem mi tu pričamo... Znači nešto ne štima

Presented with the most confusing CPU results I’ve seen in 15 years, I asked AMD what could possibly be the issue.

I frankly have no idea why my gaming performance on Ryzen isn’t where I’d expect it to be. My gut says it’s some kind of plumbing issue with PCIe or somewhere outside the cores themselves.
At ‘realistic’ settings it doesn’t matter
But here’s why the anomalies may not bother many (although it probably should): At actual practical resolutions and game settings, it doesn’t seem to matter.

Very late in the review process, AMD’s John Taylor reached out to PCWorld with a comment on the odd performance we were seeing.
Here’s why, AMD says
“As we presented at Ryzen Tech Day, we are supporting 300+ developer kits with game development studios to optimize current and future game releases for the all-new Ryzen CPU. We are on track for 1,000+ developer systems in 2017. For example.... bla bla bla

“CPU benchmarking deficits to the competition in certain games at 1080p resolution can be attributed to the development and optimization of the game uniquely to Intel platforms—until now. Even without optimizations in place, Ryzen delivers high, smooth frame rates on all ‘CPU-bound’ games, as well as overall smooth frame rates and great experiences in GPU-bound gaming and VR. With developers taking advantage of Ryzen architecture and the extra cores and threads, we expect benchmarks to only get better, and enable Ryzen to excel at next-generation gaming experiences as well. Game performance will be optimized for Ryzen and continue to improve from at-launch frame rate scores.”
To boil it down: The world of game developers basically develop for two platforms: Intel’s small socket or Intel’s large socket. AMD, as much as it pains the faithful, has been invisible outside of the budget realm, and the results are showing up in the tests. Whether that's what’s really going on I can’t say for sure, and I doubt anyone can at the moment, but it’s at least plausible.

According to Robert Hallock, a member of the CPU technical marketing team at AMD, reviewers ended up using a number of unoptimized benchmarks.
“We clearly have some work to do with game developers on some of these titles to invest in the vital optimizations that can so dramatically improve an application’s performance on a new microarchitecture,” Hallock wrote. “This takes time, but we’ll get it done.”
Specifically, Hallock said that games will be patched to improve performance on the Ryzen architecture. Oxide Games, Bethesda, and Sega are already working with AMD on “near-term optimizations” that will improve Ryzen’s gaming performance, he wrote.
“[W]hat’s also clear is that there’s a distribution of games that run well, and a distribution of games that run poorly,” Hallock added. “Call it a ‘bell curve’ if you will. It’s unfortunate that the outliers are some notable titles, but many of these game devs (e.g. Oxide, Sega, Bethesda) have already said there’s significant improvement that can be gleaned.”

Sto se naplesa(32c/64t) tice prema pokazanom proc je zvjer i kad mu se ugasi br.jezgri na manje-misim 22 ili 24 kao da bude ista usporedba sa top xeonom, naples ga je podosta nadjacao u nekom testu za obradu povratnog signala kod trazenja nafte...a kad su stavili puni br.jezgri kod naplesa jednostavno je sa xeonom opran pod.
E sad vjerojatno je amd simulirao na programu koji je njima best case scenario, pa da se i uzme sa dozom soli naples izgleda brutalno.
U utorak bi trebali znati vise.

Odakle su te informacije o naplesu? Nisam vidio da su ovi mainstream news portali išta spominjali.
U svakom slučaju čini se da bi naples mogao biti još jači udar na servere, nego ovaj za desktop

Jos jedna stvar kod amd-a koju sam zaboravio, a cini mi se zanimljiva, nemogu se sjetiti kako su to nazvali pa neka netko pomogne...radi se o tehlogiji s kojom oni mogu puno efektivnije modificirati cpue.
To znaci da se mogu brze prilagoditi potrebama potencijalnih kupaca, primarno tu vjerojatno ciljaju na serversko truiste.
Probaj se sjetit manuel ili netko drugi, bili su o tome pricali par puta.

Sjećam se nešto mutno, no ne mogu se sjetiti kako se zove da ga jebeš
Inače slažem se sa Eladiom tj. što želi reći oko potrošnje. To je kao kad se milijunaš odlučuje između farrarija, lamburginija, bugattija i mclarena, pa odluku donese na temelju - potrošnje goriva
Ono radi čega ja ističem je čisto da se vidi koji je ogroman iskorak AMD napravio glede performance per watt, pogotovo kad se uzmu u obzir okolnosti koje sam ranije spominjao. Iz istog linka može biti očito da je zen iznad mojih očekivanja. To je na razini čuda da AMD sa inferiornijim i manje zrelim proizvodnim procesom, 11* manjim R&D budžetom može uopće intelu biti iole blizu, a kamoli biti efikasniji od intelove pr0 high end platforme u mnogim scenarijima.
A ovaj SMT je čudo (osim u igrama  , zasad). Koji school time za intel. Čovjeće ovi to imaju 10 godina, dok je ovima to prvi izlet
