That is, x265 seems smaller and better at the moment because the settings used are much inferior in comparison to x264 forquality*encodes of high bitrate HD movies and tv. All the x265 releases out there on public trackers are brilliant if you don't care for the overall quality. HEVC/x265 still has a long while to go and once the encoders are happy that it is surpassing x264 at the same settings with considerable benefits then yes, they will switch to x265.
