Sta je jedan lik a b-forumu napisao, sta je najgore...totalno je u pravu. Od diabla su napravili Kadala farming simulator, i onda su unistili kadalu.
This would be how 2.1 and the change to kadala in 2.1.1 should have been (satirically) stated.
"We're sorry about RoS. We screwed up RoS so bad that in our first major patch we had to kill every build in an attempt to balance the top ones among classes. Unfortunately, we didn't do that very well either. We have no idea when we'll be able to balance other builds, but let's not dwell on the opportunities. What we do have is new content in the 2.1 patch!
-Vault: If you see one it may be the only time you do, but that's ok- you only need to visit once to get the gem to make gold pointless. After that- this awesome area a level designer spent months on will be trivial and the portals will be so infrequent that you'll eventually stop farming goblins. We need to make sure that this new content is experienced by as few players and as few times as possible. Believe me, if you think getting a portal to spawn was frustrating wait until I tell you about Ramalandi's Gift! Another new item you'll rarely see and one where we won't give you the ability to farm.
-Greater Rifts: Well, since we can't add diversity to gameplay through interesting, balanced builds we have to do something. We are very good at re-manufacturing content to sell it to you again! Remember rifts from RoS? Now we're going to-- time them! Brilliant, right!?! I know...it is brilliant. I was in the rooom-- a witness -- to that gem when it was lobbed up in a Thursday Talk Live Blizzard Session (TTL-BS)™. I came up with the "Greater" part...
We're going to make sure you can't do this re-manufactured content easily though. First, you need to run a rift to get a chance at a trial key. This key will open a trial rift where we'll throw wave after wave at you to see how many levels it takes before you either can't kill them or you can't stay alive! Then-- you get to do a trial before EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT! It's a great mechanism which will bring you hours of fun!
Best part, greater rifts lead to...
-Leaderboards: That's right, friends and slayers, with those timed greater rifts we're going to show you the top 1000!!! How cool is that! Best part? It's all completely based on RNG! You could get your hat handed to you at GR 30 on one try or 35 the next. We don't know!
And let me tell you something- there's nothing more fun than grinding greater rifts for hours to receive less xp, loot and gold than a t6 rift and finally getting to that rift you need to beat and the Lord of RNG bestows upon you an Act 3 barracks level filled with nothing but Anarchs, Corrupted Angels, Winged Assassins and Moru so you can enjoy ALL the beautiful architecture and atmosphere the talented art and level design team have created as you repeatedly walk 60-90 seconds back to the battle!
To make things really interesting we'll greatly vary the density of the mobs! That's just the luck of the draw as they say. That's just a bonus we threw in for free. Trust me, you'll love it.
This leads us to the primary goal of Greater Rifts- upgrading your new...
-Legendary Gem! Legendary gems are something we rushed to production and it shows a bit. Still many issues and we swung wildly during testing, but I feel this one may actually be in a decent place (shh..don't tell anyone). What we'll do here to screw up is to make them very easy to level to 25 making greater rifts pointless once you hit the gear-wall.
But don't think that's ALL the content. Here is the best re-manufacture of content you'll ever see. I present you:
-Seasons. Here's where you go when you're completely frustrated trying to find those Tasker & Theos or whatever it is we've made certain to never drop (yet made them vital to the builds) and you just want to start over again. Now that legendary drop sound and beam actually won't give you the impulse to punch a kitten when it says "2-handed Axe" for the 80th time. If you thought being frustrated trying to find gear once was fun-- wait until you try it all over again! As an added bonus- we will have...
SEASONAL LEADERBOARDS. However, don't you worry, to mess this up we'll ignore all the exploits you told us about during PTR to make Season One meaningless. How's that for spicing things up and adding a little competition! (All the while keeping our streak of bad decisions intact!- win/win!)
Now, let's talk a little about patch 2.1.1-
Yes- we have a big problem that we need to deal with. It's the amount of back and forth and back and forth between Kadala and our beloved blacksmith, Haedrig. I know it wears me out! Ok. So we knew we had an issue and we brainstormed. We really brainstormed around the offices about how to address this quality of life improvement. In the end, what we have done is the following:
-raised prices 5x
-raised leg drop rate 5x
-raise leg drop rate additional 2.5% or 33%
-increase material drop rate on normal and greater rift guardians
Of course, we want to be certain you are fully aware of this change and all that it entails. After much deliberation we felt that the above was the most logical solution for this brutal time-waster. One junior developer, who no longer works for us, actually suggested we move Kadala next to the blacksmith. Can you believe that? That's the type of thinking that dumbs-down gaming in our opinion. The only way to achieve success and a fulfilling gaming experience is by layering in more instances of RNG.
Sadly, we know that the only way to farm that critical item for the set builds we've created is through Kadala. By doing this we made playing Diablo not about killing monsters and getting loot they drop, but about getting BLOOD SHARDS you can spend with Kadala to get loot. We really feel this is the perfect game play desired. Again- dare I say...brilliant?
Why do we create artificial time sinks you ask? Well, just like stated in the opening we've broken the game. We can't balance builds let alone create interesting, varied and viable alternate builds. We needed to do something to keep you playing so our old-faithful, time-sink, was our only option. Of course we won't do this in a way that is fun or entertaining or even make sense! We'd try and do more, but... well- we're just not good at building an enjoyable experience!
As always-- keep that great feedback coming! Until we hear from you about your experiences we are unable to move in the opposite direction.
