So they choose the apperance design over the GPS problem.We used GPS test without SIM card or wifi, there was no signal most of the time. Then we connected wifi, AGPS help the phone to get GPS signal quickly. Even we disconnected wifi later, the GPS still worked. It’s necessary to connect to wifi or have net access. I have to say that if you want a functional GPS phone without SIM or net. P6i wouldn’t be your best choice.
