The Silver Hand is an organization devoted to hunting down and exterminating werewolves; they are mortal enemies of the Circle (a group within The Companions), due to the fact that the the Circle's members are werewolves.
Silver Hand members are equipped almost exclusively with silver weapons; the exception to this is their arrows, which are usually made of iron or steel. If following The Companions quest-line, they attack the player when travelling with Farkas.
Most members of the Silver Hand carry a potion of cure disease (or ingredients to make them, i.e. Charred Skeever Hide, Mudcrab Chitin, Hawk Feathers, Vampire Dust)
