ASUS
Users will benefit from ASUS SSD Caching, which uses solid state drive speeds to intelligently accelerate frequently-accessed tasks and applications. Offering speeds up to three times faster than mechanical hard drives in most applications, ASUS SSD Caching features an exclusive user interface and storage control options that boosts performance with one click.
Gigabyte
Z68XP-UD3-iSSD motherboard based on the Intel Z68 Express chipset and pre-bundled with the 20GB Intel Solid-State Drive 311 Series. The included mSATA-based single level cell (SLC) solid-state drive (SSD), allows users to take advantage of the performance benefits of Intel Smart Response Technology straight out of the box. The Gigabyte EZ Smart Response utility is a simple application that allows users to quickly and easily configure their system for Intel Smart Response Technology.
Intel
Smart Response Technology (SRT) (pre-launch name SSD Caching) is a proprietary caching mechanism introduced by Intel for their Z68 chipset (for the Sandy Bridge–series processors), which allows a SATA solid-state drive (SSD) to function as cache for a (conventional, magnetic) hard disk drive. It is implemented in the device driver and firmware (option ROM) that ships with the Z68 motherboards. It is available only when the (integrated) disk controller is configured in RAID mode (but not AHCI or IDE modes). Write-back or write-through caching strategy can be selected by the user. The maximum utilizable cache size on the SSD is 64 GB. Caching is done at the LBA level, not the file level. Shortly before the launch of the new chipset, Intel also introduced the Intel 311 (Larson Creek), a 20 GB SLC SSD, which it markets as suitable for caching. Ista stvar, drugo ime i pakovanje.
