The card will sport two GF110, which means 1024 juicy CUDA cores and 3GB of GDDR5 memory. The reason NVIDIA has chosen to use all the CUDA cores instead of locking shader blocks and pumping up the core frequency is because it is a more efficient solution. That's why the GTX 590 will be clocked lower and therefore require less voltage than the GTX 580, which has a single GF110 GPU. This is necessary as the GTX 580 has a rated TDP of 244 watts with just one GPU, so you can only imagine the heat if they had both GPUs running at GTX 580 speeds and voltages.
