I opet (nVidia) qrcom nisu mrdnuli po pitanju novih ili poboljšavanja postojećih tehnologija. S tim da je ovo s AnandTecha jedino osvrtanje na mogućnosti kartice, dok u svim ostalim stranim recenzijama (bar onima koje sam dobil na RSS) nema ni riječi o tome. Nakon uvodnog dijela, odma je skok na testiranje. Možda nadolazeći GTX 560 baš poput GTX 460 donese pokoju novinu.

Usual nVidia configuration of 2x DVI ports and 1x mini-HDMI port, with the second slot occupied by the card’s exhaust. This also means the card can only drive 2 of the 3 ports at once, meaning you’ll need an SLi configuration to take advantage of nVidia/3DVision Surround. Meanwhile HDMI 1.4a for 3D video purposes is supported by the card’s mini-HDMI port, but audio bitstreaming is not supported, limiting audio output to LPCM and DD+/DTS.

Sa strane video podrške novost je HDMI 1.4a, a kartica podržava DX11 API, 3-way SLI, Physx, 3D Vision Surround te Nvidia Surround tehnologije (podržava tri monitra ukupne rezolucije do 7680x1600).
NV Surround i 3D Surround su kao i ranije mogući samo uz upotrebu dvije kartice. Puni audio bitstreaming baš kao i kod GTX480 kartica nije podržan, što je kao što znamo popravljeno kod GF104.
Tri generacije GTX xxx kartica i sve nude skoro, pa identične mogućnosti, dok nVidia (koja tretira kupce ko ovce) GF110 vodi i prezentira kao novu generaciju i novu arhitekturu.
Jedino srednji segment (GTS 250, GTS 450, GTX 460 i valjda novi GTX 560) donosi kakve-takve nove tehnologije i umjesto da posluže kao temelj za nove high-end modele, ostaju ignorirani.
Čisto da ne bi bilo da (po mišljenju mnogih) serem fanboy kvake (1, 2) - pregled novih i(li) poboljšanih tehnologija u posljednje tri generacije grafičkih kartica.

G200-based graphics cards proved to be difficult and expensive to make, particularly due to the 512-bit memory bus, but it was clear that nVidia’s original prices on the GeForce GTX 280 and GTX 260 were too high for these cards to be competitive. GF100 has the same audio/video capabilities as the 40nm GT 200 series launched late last year, so this means nVidia’s VP4 for video decoding (H.264/MPEG-2/VC-1/MPEG-4 ASP) and internal passthrough for audio. Unfortunately the latter means that the GTX 400 series (and other first-generation Fermi derivatives) won’t be able to match AMD’s Radeon 5000 series in audio capabilities – nVidia can do compressed lossy audio(DD/DTS) and 8 channel uncompressed LPCM, but not lossless compressed audio formats such as DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD.

DisplayPort is not supported. If you want to connect more than two display devices, you have to build a SLI configuration out of two such graphics cards using the pair of standard MIO connectors on the face side of the PCB. This is in fact a typical selection of interfaces that modern nVidia products have and it looks rather limited compared to the connectivity options of Radeon series products.
Kartica je vredu po pitanju performansi, pošto nudi sve ko i GTX 480 (koji je već debelo u EOL statusu) s manjim zagrijavanjem i potrošnjom.
