Citiraj:
"I am not the kind of guy to post on these things. I have been in the industry for decades and 99% of the "experts" on the net are kids who have built a handful of computers and think that they know the score. They don't. Their moronic posts clog the internet and make it difficult for people with real skills and knowledge to get to the core of the problem.

So - shut up if you don't know or don't have anything new to add. Get it?

I am an IT Professional who services the gamer community. I have dealt with every problem under the sun to do with Windows and gaming PC's. My career is fixing gaming machines and optimizing them. It's what I do. Full time.

Why am I posting here? Because of the issue regarding the GTX400 series of cards. A significant percentage of them don't work in almost any configuration.. I have seen the errors on GTX460's, 470's and 480's - in every type of config you can imagine - however the issue seems to me to be predominantly on AMD boards, though not exclusively.

Do not try and fool yourself that there is a "fix" around. There is not. Only the NVidia driver developers can fix this problem. There is no physical problem with the hardware on the card - in a nutshell, the interface software for the hardware is unfinished and buggy. It will not play nice with many different configurations.

My abilities extend deeply into registry editing, and crash dump analysis. I have tried everything. The crashes appear to be coming from a number of places, but detective work always ends up back at DirectX and Nvidia dll's. Exhaustive research on the net clearly demonstrates that this is a widely experienced problem (it also demonstrates how many of you kids think you know whats going on and don't - yet you post anyway).

Solution? There is none. Nvidia has released a GPU with limited compatibility due to limited testing and what I suspect is a behind the scenes AMD vs. NVidia battle.

Shame on you NVidia. This is a HUGE problem, and you know it. And I want to send a big personal "up yours" for making my life a hell, and making me look incompetent before my customers. And another universal "up yours" for making people fork out hundreds and hundreds of dollars for a product you PRETEND is fit for sale, but you knew darn well it wasn't. Blame AMD all you like.

DO NOT BUY ANY GFX400's. You have around a 1 in 5 chance (guesstimate) that it will not play nice with your system. I am having NO such problems with any HD5000 series cards. If you own one of these cards and the issue appears to be the BSOD related to the GTX400's, return the card as faulty (with all documentation and proof of purchase of course) and demand store credit towards a HD5000 series.

The only other alternative is to await NVidia to properly disclose the issue and release an update. In my experience, that means it will take too long.

I am furious about how much time and money you cost me.

EDIT: I am a sole operator and I have no financial interests related to this other than what it has COST ME"
Pitam se da li ce ikad Nvidia izdati obavijest da imaju problema s Fermi arhitekturom...
