5. Why Tagan does not use one big 12cm Single-Fan-blower ?
Antwort :
There is no advantage against the 180¢X dual-fans ?push-pull¡§-Technology, which can produce the so-called ¡§laminar flow¡§ (a roughly straight and parallel air-flow from inlet to outlet).
Disadvantageous of 12cm single-fan is that the fan can only be built into 90¢X direction, which also force the air-flow path to be 90¢X bent (flow turbulence), and besides of it also need free space in the power supply height, consequently the height of the heat-sinks must also be reduced. But lesser heat-sink mass (due to height reduction) results in lesser capability of conveying heat-dissipation.
Another disadvantage of 90¢X fan-technology is that, when part of the heated air (through the dedicated holes on the backside) blown out again into the PC-case; this causes the so-called ¡§ thermal short-circuit ¡¨, if the heated air over and over be sucked again through the inlet.
. Why Tagan power supply does not transport so strongly the warm air from inside the PC-case ?
Pre-history : It is an old philosophy of earlier technology, that power supply also be used for cooling the PC-case. In the past decade CPUs were not yet so powerful and noise development of PC-systems did not play a great role. The fan of power supply ¡V for saving cost - can then be used also for cooling the PC-case by increasing the fan-speed (with of course higher noise).
But nowadays the requirements and the priorities (due to noise pollution, energy saving etc.) are different and changed, e.g. lower noise, higher power & efficiency, more connections etc.
Answer :
Surely Tagan do this, but not in such an extent as in the earlier time. The optimum balance between heat dissipation and fan noise has now higher priority. The push-pull 180¢X dual-fans
of Tagan power supply sucking steadily the air from backside (inlet from inside the PC-case), cooling the inside components of the power supply and lastly blowing out the heated air into outside environment; thereafter the heated air plays no more any role. The required air-flow is regulated by TSCT (Tagan Silence Control Technology) for optimum noise and for best thermal management.
Note:
The above old philosophy should not be expected anymore in nowadays system requirements.
All modern PC-cases (like Xaser, Casetek and others) have now its own several low-noise fans
(incl. fan control unit), which are specially dedicated for cooling the whole PC-system.
