Asus claims that the Mars is 23% more powerful than conventional GTX 295 video cards and has an improved thermal design that adds 65% more heat pipe coverage. That additional heat pipe coverage equates to 20% better cooling.

At idle a single MARS can hit 75 degrees Celsius and this rises to 90c under load, a temperature which puts the fan at 100% speed. Adding a second card increases the maximum idle temperature to 77 degrees, only 8 below a GTX295 at load. When we push the Quad-SLI setup with a demanding game the load temperature hits 94.5 degrees Celsius, not too dissimilar to the 4870X2 in a worst case scenario. Where the MARS differs from the X2 is noise levels, at 100% fan the cards are pushing a large amount of air through the various vents and the card becomes the loudest we have heard to date.

Toliko o Asusovom hladjenju ... a da se ne prica o tome koliko ih je RMA-dano zbog nestabilnosti u igrama
Hint: Nisu driveri u pitanju
