Matrox announces two new M-Series graphics cards
Citiraj:
Still survinin', Matrox has stepped up to reveal its latest creations - the M9138 and M9148 DisplayPort graphics cards. The two low profile cards feature a PCI-Express x16 interface, 1GB of onboard memory, have OpenGL 2.0 support and can handle triple- (M9138) and quad-monitor (M9148) setups, delivering a maximum resolution of 2560x1600 for each display.
"The first generation of Matrox DisplayPort graphics cards bring a tremendous amount of flexibility to today's DisplayPort users," says Samuel Recine, Director of Business Development, Matrox Graphics. "Not only can users choose any combination of pivoted, independent, or stretched displays, but also have the opportunity to combine two M9148 cards in a single system to drive up to eight DisplayPort or DVI monitors

Matrox reveals DisplayPort-supporting DualHead2Go and TripleHead2Go
Citiraj:
Matrox is showing DisplayPort some more love as it has developed the DualHead2Go DP Edition and TripleHead2Go DP Edition Graphics eXpansion Modules (GXMs) to enable people to use DP two and three displays, respectively.
The new GXMs both feature one DisplayPort input, have a reduced size and lower power consumption compared to the Analog and Digital models, and are packaged in an environmentally friendly, recyclable box. The DualHead2Go DP is able to deliver up to two 1920 x 1200 outputs, while the TripleHead2Go DP offers 3 x 1680 x 1050 (or also dual 1920 x 1200).
"Matrox is pleased to offer its first external multi-display upgrades to DisplayPort adopters seeking maximum display performance across multiple displays," says Samuel Recine, Director of Business Development, Matrox Graphics. "For example, with the new TripleHead2Go DP Edition, the DisplayPort interface allows users to easily connect three displays to a single notebook to generate a purely digital connection from system to monitors, while enabling resolution support of up to an impressive 1680x1050 per external display."
The DisplayPort Edition Matrox DualHead2Go and TripleHead2Go are said to arrive by the end of this quarter (less that one week to go for that).
