chip models and wtf they mean...
chip - rated speed - voltage relation
D9JNM - 800mhz --- low volts @ decent OC
D9GTR - 1066mhz -- low to moderate volts @ good - great OCs(tends to be more compatible with x38/x48)
D9GTS - 1333mhz -- low to moderate volts @ good - great OCs(tends to be more compatible with p35/p45)
D9JNL - 1600mhz -- moderate voltage @ good to great and possibly 2133mhz and higher OCs.
these chips are like intel cpu's. the lower chips can oc to the higher speeds and vice versa. the lower rated chips tend to need less voltage even at higher clocks. this is not always true but for the most part it is. micron has had a shortage of ddr3 chips this year so you see alot of companies using different chips. for the most part, D9GTR is the best and most flexible while the D9JNL's are usually spotted at higher OCs like 2000mhz+ kits. whats tricky is, most of these chips can clock similar but the voltages tend to be different.
NOTE: i have not listed all the D9 chips.

mostly, you will see the samsung HCF0 chips on these sticks. there are other sammys but they arent found on OCing ddr3. sammys are generally good OCers and use low voltage when compared to micron at the same clocks. sammys are very compatible with most 775 boards/chipsets.
