Windows 7 WARP - najnepotrebniji feature ikad? Oo

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/win...-gpu,6645.html

Citiraj:
Dubbed Windows Advanced Rasterization Platform or WARP, the new graphics layer for Windows 7 will utilize the system CPU as the graphics engine to assist old graphics cards, and take over completely in some cases. Microsoft indicates that WARP will be fully dependent on how powerful the CPU is in a system, but will require one that supports at least SSE2 extensions.
Citiraj:
The following are benchmarks from Microsoft’s own test of Crysis, running at 800x600 with the lowest quality settings:
Core i7 8-Core @ 3.0GHz ; Avg FPS 7.36 Min FPS 3.45 Max FPS 15.01

u prijevodu rijec je o obicnom softver rendereru koji postoji od pamtivijeka.

Citiraj:
Systems built to take advantage of WARP from a hardware standpoint will be able to display graphics even when the video card is missing
da quotam jednog lika na ovaj paragraf:

Citiraj:
i really want to see graphics on a monitor plugged into a non-existent video card.... that would be awesome! it'd be like:
"my monitor isn't plugged in, but i can play Crysis!!!
no need for video cards, i get graphics out of thin air now with Windows 7 !"
