Kazes glupost, to ce neko davati kritike i sudove o Pioneeru kojeg je vidio na 5 minuta u radnji a nema ga kuci ili ga nikad nije testirao, pod jedan nauci se akademski razgovarati bez vrijedjanja a pod 2 samo argumenti; Dakle evo ti odgovor zasto je Panasonic ispred Pioneera.

Summary: (Disclaimer: I do color for a living)

I got this plasma and I'm really disappointed. The color is just off on everything. All the whites look slightly pink and washed out. I figured out there's an anti reflective filter on the screen that is actually pink/magenta colored when viewed in an off state, looking at something white - like my door across the room - it looked pink. Even the sand in the Olympic Beach Volleyball event had a slight tinge of pink.

Anyway, that is the major issue - color accuracy. Nothing looks like real life to me. All the colors are just off, and the worst part is you cannot control the individual colors with this set. They only give you tint. Al Roker looked American Indian to me. Just unacceptable. I tried every setting possible and I'm not satisfied.

My other major complaint with this unit is the sharpness in high defintion. It looks standard def to me. When you increase the sharpness it gets really grainy. Just not very crisp.

The whites are really washed out and not realistic. Not life-like. Very Dim. In order to really appreciate this model you need to be in the dark. Even when I looked at content on Blu Ray it was just off with the color as well.

The Blacks are excellent however, along with the off axis viewing angle.

I will be waiting for the Samsung 950 series to come out for near-perfection.

Summary: 1) The black levels of this tv are awesome. But it seems like Pioneer used a tinted screen to get those black levels. It appears that that tinted screen causes the colors to be off. I've seen both the Pioneer and the Panasonic very close to each other at Bestbuy and both my girlfriend and I noticed that the picture quality of the Pioneer doesn't look as life-like or as accurate as the Panasonic 50PZ800u. So I chose the Panasonic over this tv.

2) Another factor to take into account is that Panasonic honors the warranty on all its tv's sold in the USA even if you don't buy from an authorized dealer. Pioneer does not.

3) Regardless of which tv you choose, check out www.live.com which gives a $250 rebate on all purchases made through the live.com search leading into ebay. I purchased the Panasonic for $2000 including the rebate. (Unfortunately, right after the purchase I saw an ad on amazon.com marketplace for one for $1800, which was a really great deal!)

On the CNET rating scale I'm giving this tv a 8, the Panasonic a 9, and reserving the 10 for a tv that has the best qualities of both the Panasonic and the Pioneer, which apparantly doesn't exist yet in the state-of-the-art. Is the US still a dumping ground for old Japanese technology? I'm curious if they already have better stuff over there...

Pros: Accuracy of picture and color; adjustable zoom; warranty is valid even for purchases from non-authorized dealers; all-glass panel with metal trim reminds me of McIntosh brand
Cons: Blacks are deeper on the Pioneer Kuros
Summary: Pro's:

1) I've seen both the Pioneer Kuro and this TV near each other at Bestbuy and the picture quality and color accuracy looked better on this tv over the Pioneer.

Pros: Wonderful Colors in THX mode. Great picture detail. Very good built-in audio. 4 HDMI inputs.
Cons: None really. A bit pricy. Blacks just a bit less deep than the Kuro

Nadji nekog koje stavio Pioneera ispred Panasonica PZ800 sto se boje tice?
Haj molim te podjeli s nama nekog ko blati Panasonicove boje i stavlja ih iza Pioneera, da vidim ta tvoja iskustva i iskustva ljudi sa foruma!?

Dakle koji je bolji od ova 2 tv-a me se savrseno ne tice, onom kome je crna boja primarni faktor prilikom kupovine uzet ce skupljeg Pioneera, a kako vidis Panasonic je ispred doticnog sa prikazom boja. Ocigledno svi lupamo gluposti!
