Expected for pretty much the whole length of this past summer, the "original" MSI Wind U100 with its 10-inch screen, 1.6 GHz Atom CPU, Windows XP Home and 6-cell battery is finally hitting the stores. Due to battery supply issues MSI chose to have its Wind netbook debut with only a 3-cell battery, a model that will continue to sell for $499 while the 6-cell model goes for the $550 price point. Hopefully the latter will drop to the initially planned $500 zone soon.
