HP does not recommend the removal of the recovery partition from the hard disk drive. If it is critical to reclaim some of the storage space on the hard disk drive, HP recommends that you create the set of operating system recovery discs before making any changes. In the event of a failure, use the recovery discs to recovery the PC to the original operating condition.
