The 790GX integrates a graphics core HD3300. This is slightly better than the HD3200 on the 780G boards. The board also incorporates side port memory which uses the ELPIDA memory for onboard buffer. Other than a heatpipe design, the board uses a newer south bridge SB750. The board also uses a 4+1 phase power design. It is said that AMD 790G IGP can do CrossFire (Dual 8x) and Hybrid CrossFire at the same time. There is no confirmation about this yet but we don't think doing a Hybrid CrossFire at the same time with CrossFire will bring much improvement in performance.
