965 vs 975
Dakle pitanje je jednostavno,koju platformu odabrat?
Ovo postaje lagano iritantno,kad bi barem znao sta ce se dogodit u narednih mjesec dana... JER : 1.965 je puno bolji OC-er 2.975 konkretnija ploca (SLI itd) Dakle,zbog SLI-a sam spreman ubost 975,a jednako toliko me vuce 965 zbog OC-a E sad,otvorio sam ovu temu u cilju obavjestavanja i objavljivanja novosti oko razvoja situacije s doticnim platformama,jer ocito tu jos dosta toga ne stima i ima puno prostora napretku. Dakle,ako netko naleti na bilo kakvu novost o novom bios-u,rijesenju slabog OC-anja 975 ploci ili bilo sto drugo na doticnu temu neka ovdje objavi. Mene polako glava boli od silnih pretrazivanja oko tih ploca,blizi se trenutak kada cu zakoracit u trgovinu i zelim kupit pravu stvar,bas kao i svi ovdje. Navodno je problem kod 975 platforme s memorijskim postavkama,ploca ne nudi sve moguce postavke i naravno te koje ne nudi automatski sama postavi,preagresivno,i tu pada u vodu potencijal OC-a Uskoro cemo nadam se znati vise : stoopid |
Počekaj još malo ako ti se ne žuri i prati vijesti o tim pločama treba vidjet kakve su ove nove DFI-jke

A šta je sa ovim izvještajima o 440+ fsb na asus p5w i gigabyte DSC 3,4,6 ???
Pitanje glasi : - koja od ove 2 ploče može veći fsb navući, sa tim da se uzimaju rezultati svih većih OC siteova ??? |

1.5v je NULA,bez vmch mod-a nema OC-a Samo tu je mali problem,PCI-e NE radi kada je voltaza preko 1.9v,za sve preko 1.9v potrebno je posluzit se dobrom starom PCI karticom :) |

zanimalo i mene pa pronaso inace ovo je odlican thread 975X vs P965 As far as Intel is concerned, P965 is officially their “mainstream” chipset, while 975X is their high-end chipset for enthusiasts. But in a lot of ways, P965 is the more forward-looking platform that’s built for the high-end crowd. One of the most notable examples of this is found in the chipset’s North Bridge. Whereas the memory controller found in 975X is limited to memory speeds of just 667MHz, the P965 chipset supports not only DDR2-667, but also 800MHz DDR2 memory as well. DDR2-800 is capable of delivering 2.1GB/sec of additional memory bandwidth to the system. Peak bandwidth goes from 10.7GB/sec in 975X to 12.8GB/sec in P965. About a month ago we ran some tests with a Core 2 Extreme and Core 2 Duo E6700 equipped with both DDR2-667 and DDR2-800 and found the faster memory provided an additional 2-4% in performance in games, while DDR2-800 shaved a few seconds off our DivX conversion and WME 9 tests in our media encoding testing. Where P965 really excels in comparison to 975X though is in its South Bridge. Intel’s outfitted P965 with their brand new ICH8 South Bridge, 975X was built around Intel’s older ICH7 South Bridge. ICH8 has a few new features going for it that aren’t found in ICH7. For starters, ICH8 supports more Serial ATA drives than ICH7, six in ICH8 versus just four in ICH7 (each supporting 3Gb/sec SATA). In fact, with the new South Bridge Intel emphasizes Serial ATA storage, as the chipset doesn’t support parallel ATA drives. Intel’s been deemphasizing parallel ATA for some time now: whereas five years ago all chipsets supported up to four parallel ATA devices (via two controllers) starting with their ICH6 South Bridge in mid-2004 Intel’s only supported up to two parallel ATA devices (via one controller). With the new ICH, Intel’s clearly trying to move the industry from PATA to SATA, although unfortunately optical drive manufacturers are still being reluctant to embrace the SATA interface – even the first generation of Blu-ray disc drives and HD-DVD drives all rely on PATA. Fortunately motherboard manufacturers like Gigabyte realize this and are including PATA support on their P965 motherboards via an external controller. Another key difference between ICH7 and ICH8 is USB support. The newer ICH8 South Bridge supports up to ten USB 2.0 ports, whereas ICH7 is limited to eight. Despite these positives in favor of P965, it does have one glaring deficiency for enthusiasts: lack of support for multi-GPU solutions like ATI’s CrossFire technology. While there are P965 motherboards on the market with two PCI Express graphics slots, including Gigabyte’s own GA-965P-DQ6, the chipset doesn’t support CrossFire or SLI. Instead the idea is that you can connect a second PCI Express graphics card to drive additional LCD or CRT displays. It’s a little deceiving if you’re a gamer who had his heart set on transferring his CrossFire or SLI setup to Core 2, but keep in mind that it’s a limitation of the system chipset, not the motherboard. Other than these key differences, the P965 and 975X chipsets are pretty similar, both chipsets support bus speeds of 1,066MHz, 800MHz, and 533MHz, up to six x1 PCI Express devices, Intel High Definition audio and Matrix Storage technology, as well as Gigabit Ethernet networking. Performance between the two chipsets is similar as well, in fact the GA-965P-DQ6 outperformed 975X motherboards in some of our tests. |
sve dobro pise...uglavnom p965 ima svoje prednosti i mane...uglavnom 975X i P965 su performansama jako slicni jedan drugome...iako je P965 malo tehnicki napredniji...ipak je noviji

Zanimljivo. Ako 975X ne podržava 800 MHz memorije, zašto na kutiji moje ploče piše da podržava?

Koliko ja znam, podrzava....pa kad ubacis proc sa 200 i + mhz fsb-om, pojavi se mnozitelj na ploci za 800mhz

Loš je kloker za i965 čip no bude se valjda sa BIOS-om to sredilo no ovo je dosta loša reklama za ASUS :(
A cifra... definitivno previsoka... ako DQ6 dođe oko 1700kn onda ova sigurno neće bit jeftinija. |
iću baš sutra pitat pa javim cifru,ma nekak mi se ta asusica sviđa,što se tiče klokanja čeka se novi bios,jer ovaj zadnji je baš digao takt... pa će valjda i novi...

Na onom linku što je lihto dao su napravili update što se clockanja tiče. Sad ploča ide do 380MHz, što je opet dosta manje od Gigabyte, po njihovom.

IMHO P5B je definitivno neisplativa. Nije neki kloker (iako ima potencijala), i hlađenje je neuvjerljivo - NB hladnjak izgleda slabašno i aktivno hlađenje je obavezno u slucaju OC-a.
Ako vec izdvajate 1800kn za maticnu onda je P5W DH bolji izbor, ali opet isticem Gigabyte DS4 kao trenutni Best Buy |

Neznam dal je netko obracao pozornost na ovo ali dfi i foxcon vec imaju prve maticne koje sadrze digital PWM.
