If you don’t know what WQHD stands for, then let us educate you, as it’s short for Wide Quad High Definition, or what most of us know as 2,560x1,440 pixels, aka the same resolution as Apple’s 27-inch iMac. So what are we on about there? Well, so far displays with WQHD resolution would set you back a small fortune, or at least close to $1,000. Now a company called Nixeus is about to change all that with its Vue 27-inch display which is very affordable at $430.

Admittedly if you shop around, you can find some good deals on a select few WQHD displays, but most of them have drawbacks like HP’s ZR2740w which doesn’t feature an OSD for example and it’s still priced north of $600. The other option has been to buy one of many various brands of WQHD displays off eBay from various Korean sellers, with the obvious drawbacks here being lack of support when something goes wrong.

The Nixeus NX-VUE27 is something of a compromise between the Korean displays and one of the more expensive options, as it features the same type of LG S-IPS panel used by the Korean displays and we’d guess that the display is actually made by one of these companies. The upside is that you get a full set of ports which includes dual-link DVI, DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4 and D-sub, as well as an audio jack as the display sports a set of stereo speakers. It also has an OSD menu, a universal power brick – this is a bit of a poor design considering the size of the display, the power unit should really have been built in – and a height adjustable stand that pivots.

It may not be the most beautifully designed display ever made, but it’s not a bad deal for $430. Sadly, you’ll have to wait until the 21st of this month to get your hands on one and apparently the NX-VUE27 will initially only be on sale through Comp-U-Plus which is an online retailer that we’re not familiar with. Ne znan je li bilo, ali ovo se čini kao pun pogodak nakon svih FHD 27" monitora. Onako čisto kao casual monitor koji će zaminit TN (bar moje).

Ja san vidio na tonymacx86 blogu vijest, nisan iskreno gleda...

Doslo vrijeme da se pojave povoljni i kvalitetni 27" monitori. Jos da se ovaj model pojavi kod nas po normalnoj cijeni :)

Doći će od 2800 do 3200 kn ako se uopće pojavi kod nas, moja procjena

Ha gle, prije cca 2 godine, općenito do pojave Della 2412M svi smo sanjali o jeftinom i kvalitetnom 24" monitoru, jer je postojao 2410 koji je kosta 4500 kn, HP model sa nesto manjom cijenom, oni ruzni Philipsi po 3000 kn. Danas kvalitetan 24" ips kosta 1839 kn.

Ovo je samo dobar znak da ce se uskoro pojavit i jeftini 27" ips monitori, iako sumnjam da ce ovaj konkretno model doci na nase trziste, ali vjerovatno ce sad lagano svi proizvođači počet radit slične modele, sto bi značilo da cemo za godinu dvije imat vise modela povoljnih 27ica :)

Ma lako je li IPS ili ne, ionako iman TN 2x i jedan Dell. Ali najviše kod ovog mi se sviđa cijena i naravno velika rezolucija, jer od 27" Apple moje oči pate za tolikom količinom radnog prostora na jednom mistu.

IMHO za naše tržište američki uvoznik i nije neka prednost pred korejcima, pogotovo što se tiče carine i poštarine.

Što se tiče korejaca ovdje ima lijepi link gdje je usporedba hrpe modela, i linkovi na forume gdje ima još više detalja...
