(riješeno) WD Caviar Green 2.5 TB WD25EZRX neće raditi na ARSock N68-S3 UCC
 

Znaci izvadio hard sa deluxice i upiko u n68...idem snimati winse a on prepoznaje samo 280gb...metnuo drugi hard i snimio windowse...2.5tb metnuo u sata kuciste i na usb...device prepoznaje 280gb unallocated...a crystal disk info normalno 2.5tb...Bios takodjer normalno...

Kako, zasto? Sto napraviti.... Mislim sata3 bi trebao raditi na sata2 i to vijerujem nije problem...

Seagate foresees that most PC computers won't recognize the drive with its maximum amount of storage.
This is because 32-bit Windows operating systems generally support only the legacy Master Boot Record (MBR), which has the cap partition size of 2.19TB, to manage the hard drive. This means, the system won't see more than 2.19TB of storage, regardless of how much larger the hard drive's actual capacity is.

On top of that, all Windows computers that use the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS)-based motherboards, which are the majority of computers on the market, can't boot from a hard drive that's larger that 2.19TB, either, due to the limitation of BIOS protocols. These protocols were defined back in the 1980s and are used to load the operating system from the hard drive into system memory, hence facilitating the booting process.
In the near future, possibly by the end of next year, MBR will be completely replaced by GUID Partition Table (GPT), which is supported by both Windows 7 and Windows Vista, and the BIOS will be replaced by the new Extensive Firmware Interface (EFI). Then and only then, Windows users will no longer need to worry about hitting the barrier in the storage space for hopefully many, many years to come.

In the meantime, however, Western Digital has a quick solution for consumers to immediately take advantage of its new ultra high-capacity hard drives. The company bundles the new WD Caviar Green 2.5TB and 3TB hard drives with an Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI)-compliant Host Bus Adapter (HBA), in the form of a PCI Express add-in card.

At its core, this card is an SATA storage controller that, apart from support SATA hard drives, enables the operating system to use proper software driver to correctly support large capacity drives. This allows computers that run Windows 7 and Vista, both 64-bit and 32-bit, to use the new hard drives, at their full capacity, as secondary drives, as long as they are formatted using GPT. Windows XP is still out of the game as it only support MBR.

Ma cito sam to...sl nr kuzim dto se hoce reci...da moja maticna proizvedena 2011 i hard proizveden 2011 ne mogu zajedno funkcionirati??

- Right-click on NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller
- Properties
- Make sure this is the one with your >2T drive. See connection 0 & 1 tabs.
- Cancel
- Right-click again on nForce SATA devices
- Click on update driver software
- Search for driver software on the computer
- Select from a list of device drivers on the computer.
- Select Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE controller
- Next...
- Reboot.

Ukratko, digni windowse, instaliraj novije chipset drivere i peri. Obavezno x64 Win.

Ljudi meni windows pri instalaciji nudi 280gb...dos programi za particije, fdisk, partion magic i jos neki isto samo 280gb nalaze..i nema nista drugo da nadju..

stavi disk i instaliraj na njega w7/vista 64bit nakon čega napravi ovo sto smo ti nino tj ja predložili a onda javi kakva je situacija.

Znaci, nije ni to...vec definitivno hw problem...Vratio hard na deluxicu, i pokrenuo instalaciju win, i odma izbaci full kapacitet

Znaci nesto je sa ovom sugavom plocomi i tip hdd problem..

btw flashao na najnoviji bios,bio 1.5 metnuo 1.6 i isto..Ili taj hard stvarno ne radi na sata2 ili ta ploca ne podrzava taj hard :S

Jesi instalirao windowse pa chipset drivere?

imao gore winse vec,jer sam danas vec instalirao...i da instaliao,restartao otisao u device i opet isto 280gb...btw na deluxici mi sada pokazuje disk0 1: 280gb, disk0 2: 2048gb i nemrem ih spojiti vec samo na oba klinti new i formatirati....cemu,zasto?

EDIT: Ispravak netocnog navoda, na ovih 280gb nemrem kliknuti new..znaci doslovce mi hard daje svega 2048gb...sada instaliram na tih 2048 pa cemo vidjeti opetu windowsima

Koliko ja znam na sata3 ploči radi sata2 ali sa sata2 ploči da radi sata3 nisam baš siguran.
Možda ipak trebaš stavit jumper na hard da ti radi u sata2 modu, vidi na wd stranicama gdje.

Mozda :S ne znam...al nema veze...to smo rijesili s vracanjem na staru tj novu plocu...ali problem je sada sljedeci...fali mi tih 280gb :S u computer menageru imam da je 280gb unallocated i nemrem nista s njime :S kako to dodati na ovih 2g postojecih?

Ne...ma ne treba to na deluxici...a i prije prebacivanja na n68 je radio normalno...znaci sada isto normalno radi samo je problem taj manjak gb...nemrem nikako dobit full kapacitet harda vec samo 2gb

BTW Postoji li neki program ili nesto sto vraca hard na tvornicke postavke...jer moguce da sam ja nesto particije ili nesto promrdao i zato je sada tih 280gb zakljucano...

Edit: Partion magic mi javlja pri pokretanju neki error, i mogu klikati yes do besvjesti i nista se ne dogadja

Znaci ovako sam riješio:

Bio je problem u tome sto windowsi nisu dali da disk koji je u mbr pretovorim u gpt...

Skinuo Paragon Partition Manager...Obrisao particije,pretvorio u gpt i formatirao. I sada je to to, svih 2.27tb je na vidiku :D
