This post is in response to some people's concern that passwords are being stored in plain text. We wish to take this moment to clarify, that the passwords are all stored as MD5 hashes with a salt in our database. The passwords being sent in email were temporarily being stored in Session, and the session was destroyed once the email was sent.

We have taken steps to prevent this. The passwords are no more being sent out in the email.

The safety of our customers' data is our primary concern. Again, as you know, we just launched yesterday. Nobody at Backify was expecting such a huge response. So please be patient while we iron out the bugs and flaws. If something's really important, please reach Tarandeep directly at taran@backify.com

s druge strane ako netko stavi jedini backup nečeg bitnog tamo gore sam je zaslužio sve što mu se dogodi

do sad koristim sugarsync i imam 7gb (no ukoliko pozovem nekog preko Link-a dobivam na svakog 500mb...tako da je i meni ovaj backify nekako nerealan

Ja se registrirao, i za sada sve funkcionira.
Ja se isto vodim za time da su novi i ovu priliku sam prihvatio!
Mislim, tko voli nek izvoli, tko ne, nemora, jelda!?

we highly recommend you uninstall it from your computer by following the steps below:

On Windows:
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs (or ‘Programs and settings’), select Livedrive and select uninstall.

On Mac:
Go to Finder > Applications and delete the Livedrive application.

Please note that any data you backed up using BACKIFY.COM
cannot be retrieved and we recommend you establish an alternative backup service immediately.

Livedrive does provide a very similar online backup service to the one provided by BACKIFY.COM
and you can read more details and, if you wish, signup for a trial on our website at http://www.livedrive.com

Ma katastrofa, sreć pa sam ja to koristio za zahebanciju (čitaj ništa bitno nisam izgubio), ali možda neki jesu!

Due to their lousy support and fishy business model, I cannot recommend Backify to anyone. In the end, you would be giving them your personal files. Besides, what stops them from increasing the prices again? This is actually a pretty common business model. Mozy used to offer unlimited backups for $5 a month but nowadays, they charge $6/month for 50GB. Keep the prices low (or even free) to attract customers and when you reach a certain customer base, increase the price. Nice.
Update: The plot thickens. We just received a tip that the contract between Backify and Livedrive is no longer valid. Livedrive is the company which provided the technology and service behind Backify, so Backify was just a reseller. Since Backify is no longer able to provide any service, we strongly advise you to cancel your account and contact your credit card company if you have provided credit card information to Backify.
