Imaju dvije verzije novih X4 Phenoma, oni bazirani na Propus jezgri budu bez L3 cachea.
Sve u svemu bude veselo, ovim modelima koji su sad na tržištu cijena lagano pada, pa se već čist pristojnih X4 procesora (Phenom 9550) da najti za kakvih 1.000 kn, a još kad stignu 45nm modeli - svi sretni i zadovoljni.:)

Socket G34 za početak 2010.
 

AMD's newest roadmap reveals a major shift in early 2010: the company will once again overhaul its socket architecture to make way for DDR3 support. The new socket, dubbed G34, will also ship with two new second-generation 45nm processors. The first of these processors, 8-core Sao Paolo, is described as a "twin native-quadcore Shanghai processor" by one AMD engineer. This past April, AMD guidance hinted at a 12-core behemoth of a processor. This CPU is now named Magny-Cours after the French town made famous by its Formula One French Grand Prix circuit.

AMD insiders would reveal very little about the G34 socket, other than its a derivative of the highly secretive G3 socket that was to replace Socket F (1207). As far as company documentation goes, G3 ceased to exist in March 2008, and has been replaced with the G34 program instead. The first of these sockets will be available for develops in early 2009. We counted 1974 pin connects on the leaked G34 diagram -- 767 more pins than AMD's current LGA1207 socket. Given the additional interconnect pathways for DDR3 and the HyperTransport buses, a significant increase in the number of pins was to be expected.

zanimljivo, samo se nadam da neće bit promašaj godine ko u prvom redu amd phenom pa onda dx10, vista, gf 8600 serija itd...

Po čemu je to Phenom bil promašaj? Ne clocka se ko lud (pa su svi gameri i clockeri ostali razočarani), nema tolkog potencijala ko stariji Kentsfield procesori, ali se usprkos tome prodaje i ima čist solidne performanse - isto kak se prodaju ostali promašaji koje si spomenul.

Da zasto je Phenom promasaj?

Recimo ja cu prec na phenoma, samo cekam prvo da zamjenim plocu, nikako docekati te 790GX ploce.

pa bio je na pcekspertu članak oko nove godine koji su promašaji obilježili prethodnu godinu. Prva je bila windows vista to se sječam, a phenom je bio među zadnjim "promašajima". ostali koje se sjećam: Crysis, gf 8600 serija, ddr3 ram.... bio je taj članak jedno vrijeme na forumu al sad ga nemogu nać jbg.

I DDR2 je bila isto prije par godina u istoj poziciji, a vidi je sada...
Dobra, brza, jeftina...
Tako da to niš ne znači...

AMD SB750 i Foxconn A79A-S ploča
 

Foxconn sent us their new A79A-S motherboard that is part of their Digital Life series of products. This motherboard was not designed to be an extreme overclocker, but instead a feature rich platform that offers the capability to overclock when required. In testing to date, the board has actually gained a reputation of being an excellent overclocker along with a full featured BIOS. While the BIOS options are not as extensive as the top end 790FX products from ASUS or DFI, there are more than enough options to ensure successful overclocking for the vast majority of users.

The major improvement in the SB700/750 series over the SB600 is the increase in USB 2.0 performance and the number of ports available. The new dual-channel controller features 12 USB 2.0 capable ports and 2 specific 1.1 ports for compatibility reasons. USB 2.0 performance is now on par with the Intel and nVidia solutions.

The SB750 now has a direct 6-pin interface to the AM2+ socket on the motherboard, there are now pins on the Phenom CPU that connect directly to the SB750. These pins were previously unused and are now used as a means of communication between the South Bridge and the CPU. The SB750, in combination with an updated BIOS, can now override some of the CPU's internal settings which can potentially increase the overclocking headroom of the chip. 100MHz to 300MHz increase in clock speeds is attainable by the user after some tweaking. The SB750/ACC trick doesn't work on anything other than Phenom processors, and it works particularly well on the Black Edition processors.

This board is based on the 780a's little brother, the nForce 750a SLi, and the two are very much alike. The 750a ditches the nForce 200 completely, and despite a change in name, its MCP component is essentially identical to that of the 780a. This 65nm chip hosts not only core logic elements, but also an integrated graphics core very similar to what you'll find in the GeForce 8300. This graphics core is fully DirectX 10-compliant with 16 stream processors and support for Shader Model 4.0. More importantly, it's capable of full Blu-ray decode acceleration across AVC, VC-1, and MPEG2 formats, with HDMI output thrown in for good measure.

The nForce 750a has the same Phenom-ready HyperTransport 3 link as its high-end brethren, the same six 300MB/s Serial ATA RAID ports (that work in AHCI mode, I might add), the same dozen USB ports, and the same Gigabit Ethernet controller. The board is only rated for use with processors that have a thermal design power (TDP) up to 95W, leaving the Phenom X4 9850 and 9950 Black Edition CPUs that carry respective 125W and 140W TDPs off of the official compatibility list. We can, however, report that our board didn't seem to have any problems running a 9850 through our standard chipset test suite—at least on an open test bench.

Cekam vec duze vremena ploce sa SB750. Nisam neki ljubitelj ASUSa, ali ljepo je vidjeti da se sve krece, istina jako polako, al se krece. :D

EDIT: Neka glupost se dogadja. ASUS je iz nekog razloga povukao ovu ploco sa svojih novosti. Vise je nigdje nespominju, tako da ni link neradi kako bi trebao.

odlicna AM2+ ploca, postala jos bolja... ulozeno/dobiveno ova ploca je vjerovatno best buy medju am2 plocama...

u rev. 2.0 najveca promjena je SB700 soughtbridge koji zamjenjuje "zastarjeli" SB600 iz rev. 1.0... sto sa sobom vuce +2 sata konektora, +2 usb2.0 konektora, "brzi" usb transfer, poboljsan asci/raid...

sve ostalo je manje/vise isto kao i kod rev. 1.0... znaci 8+2 kanalna zvucna, gigabit lan, firewire... i to sve za >500kn :D

nemam pojma kad dolazi u trgovine, vjerovatno kad se rjese rev. 1.0 sa skladista ;)

Prvo isprike jer nemogu naci link, a bila su dva.

U svakom slucaju prociotao sam na 2 mjesta da bi ploce sa 790gx + SB750 trebale biti sluzbeno lansirane 06.08.2008. Dakle odmah poslje ovog praznika ili za dva dana. :D

Gotovo svi proizvodjaci vec imaju dosta ploca, neke ste vec mogli i vidjeti, a razlog kasnjena i odgadjanja je bio taj sto su svi "polirali" BIOS-e u suradnji sa AMD-om.

Zivi bili pa vidjeli, ako naletim na link opet, a pregledao sam ih brdo, editirat cu post i nadoljepit ga. :chears:

Jedan od linkova na kojima se spominje datum izlaska 790GX ploča. Na XS, AMD i AnandTech forumu imaš još spominjanja tog datuma, a i francuski site www.pcinpact.com također spominje isti datum za 790GX ploče. Sve u svemu ne bi bilo ništ čudno da se ploče za dva dana pojave na tržištu.

As for CPU overclocking, the BIOS do have options to set the HTT (200~500MHz), multiplier, async memory settings and voltage options.
In our test with the max HTT we can reach only 365 x on a AMD X2 5000+ black edition.

First glance at this board gives the impression of a simple, yet very efficient layout. Before we even take a closer look, I just want to say that Asus did a good job with the layout of the board. Everything is placed very well on the board, and there were absolutely no issues at all in setting up and using the board. Also, as you first look at the board, you can see that it does not have a heatpipe system for cooling - I am sure that part of this is a cost decision. The board supports up to 8GB (64bit systems only) of DDR2 Memory at speeds of 1066/800/667/533 and 400MHz. It supports dual channel memory architecture, as well as ECC and non-ECC modules. Asus went with a small aluminum heatsink for the SB750 chip. We had no ssues with heat at all while we were using the board, so it is a sufficient cooling solution. The Asus M3A78-T motherboard has 3 x16 PCI-E slots on it. The top PCI-E slot is fully 2.0 compliant, and runs at a full x16 mode. The black PCI-E slot is also fully 2.0 compliant, but runs at x4 speeds only.

AMD Athlon64 2000+: odgovor na Intel Atom
 

AMD has created a new niche product by taking its existing K8 architecture and simply downclock it. THG has gotten their hands on an AMD Athlon64 2000+, which operates at only 1.0GHz and draws a maximum of 8W, according to AMD. The processor is based on the lesser known Lima core with G0 stepping. The HyperTransport bus has been reduced to only 1GHz. At 8W it is still twice as hungry as Intel's Atom processor, but AMD has the upper hand on the chipset side. In the review they compared AMD's critically acclaimed 780G chipset to Intel's 945G circuit and it's a technological knock-out.

Even though the AMD processor has a TDP of 8W and the Atom 4W, the AMD processor remained a lot cooler and worked just fine with passive cooling, which is not something you could say about the Atom platform. The actual power consumption also proved to be better with the AMD processor, just like the overall performance.

Je, to je to. Taj link na Tom's je unutar ove vijesti s Nordica, a i del sam već na jednoj drugoj temi na forumu link na novog Athlona, pa sam tu ostavil samo čistu vijest.:)

Ma pusti, sve je jasno kad se vidi otkud je recenzija. Žali se kaj im je AMD poslal mATX ploču (a Atom ima miniITX), kad tip ne zna da postoje i manja rješenja za tog Athlona. Pa je malo bezveze sročil tu rečenicu.

Ali ovo je dobro...
...ko da bi im G35 ili G45 kaj puno značilo.

Treba prebacit Thea pl Valicha sa TG Daily-a (koji je tak-i-tak ista firma) na main site pa da vidiš onda...:)

To bi bil šou kakvog IT svijet još nije videl. Od silnog (kaj krivo protumačenog, kaj polu-izmišljenog materijala), bi trebali samo za njega još jedan podforum.
Čisto da ljudi vele kaj im je na duši, nakon čitanja njegovih recenzija i vijesti.:D

Sve je to fajn, ali proizvodnja tog Athloma košta, za razliku od jeftinog Atoma...

Nek košta, nije to naš problem. Nek se AMD zabavlja s tim. Ako nisu dosad propali, ne bude ih ni jedan mali Athlon, skupa sa svojim troškovima proizvodnje odvel na samo dno.
Osim toga taj Athlon je dobar i aktualan sve dok (u mjesecima koji slijede) ne stignu konkretnija i bolja rješenja.

Koliko sam ja shvatio-taj jadni Intel 945GC chipset nema podršku za DVI, dual monitor, HDMI...da ne govorim o reprodukciji HD-a...Athlon 64 2000+ možeš ubost u svaku AM2 ili AM2+ ploču, možeš birat između hrpetine proizvođača i odabrat ploču koja ti paše...za neki HTPC Intel sa ovakvom pločom i procom nema kaj tražit pored AMD-a:)
