Phenomi 9050 serije i K10 Athloni 6000 serije
 

AMD is planning to launch B3 stepping quad-core Phenom 9050 series CPUs including 9850, 9750, 9650, 9550 and 9150 within the next 1-2 weeks, however the top-end 9850 will only reach a core frequency of 2.5GHz, instead of the original goal of 2.6Ghz. The company expects to be able to deliver higher core frequencies in the third quarter this year.

AMD will later launch triple-core Phenom 8750, 8650 and 8450 CPUs with power consumption of 65W in late April. Prior to that, the company will launch the Athlon 64 X2 5800+ to fill the gap in the mainstream market.

For the dual-core CPU market, AMD will launch the Athlon 64 X2 5600+ Black Edition and 4600+ by the end of March and will follow with Phenom-based Athlon 6250 and 6050 CPUs by the end of the second quarter. The company has also informed customers that final orders for Athlon 64 X2 6400+, 6000+ and 5600+ (89W versions) will be taken at the end of March.

K10 arhitektura u obliku dual-core procesora. Upitnog ubrzanja naprema K8 na istom taktu.

Navodno će Propus biti jako zanimljiv chip, 45nm Quad, ali bez L3. Pravi mainstream Quad.

Da, izlazak planiraju oko zime 2009. godine. Do tada će se mnogo toga promjeniti.

Meni je žao što K10 ovisi o svemu i svačemu. K8 je bio odličan produkt, a brzina je ovisila samo o frekvenciji procesora. RAM, cache i sve ostalo nije imalo utjecaja vrijednog spomena...

Mislim da se tip malo zabunio, 45nm su najavljeni za kraj ove godine. B3 je zadnja revizija na 65nm.

Točno, barem prema najavama.
Stvari idu u zanimljivom smjeru - ne samo da se K10 pokazao nepotreban, jer je K8 platforma bila izuzetno stabilna uz jedinu manu u vide nedostatka podrške za ddr2, nego je ponovni pokušaj uvođenja L3 cachea (K6) IMO također bio nepotreban (gotovo nikakav doprinos performansama uz dosta veću cijenu proizvodnje). Ne vjerujem baš da će novi QC s 6mb L3 cachea biti iole bolji od ovih do sad, barem ne zbog povećanog cachea...

A uz to sad se i prema prvim testovima na netu čini kako je i 3core Phenom u real life aplikacijama i gamingu tek nešto malo slabiji od 4core Phenoma.

Ne baš dobra godina za AMD mogla bi nakraju završiti relativno dobro, a i svi mi ćemo profitirati daljnjim padom cijena procesora.

Spuštanjem cijena 3core (koji su ujedno i dobar način da se iskoristi quadove s jednom lošijom jezgrom koji inače ne bi vidli police dućana) i 4core Phenoma AMD bi mogao uzeti dobar dio mainstream i low end tržišta. High end će, čini se, još dugo biti rezerviran za Intela.

Nevjerojatno da su morali napraviti i izaći na tržište sa takvim procesorom da bi došli do tog zaključka.

Kaj ti nije jasno? Napiši točno, jer s ovim WTF neš došel do odgovora. Dual-BIOS ti je čudan ili kaj?
Dual-BIOS Gigabytove ploče imaju već duži niz godina, a bome i ostali proizvođači imaju slična rješenja, ako se orginalni BIOS slomi.

To ti je ako nešto krene po zlu, za vraćanje starog biosa tj. drugi bios čip flasha prvog ako se prvi nije boota. Bolje Gigabytice imaju i quad bios... ljink

Asus M3N-H/HDMI ploča s GeForce 8300 IGPom
 

Asus is first to announce a GeForce 8300 ATX mainboard. The ASUS M3N-H/HDMI based on the GeForce 8300 should have a higher clock speed for it's integrated graphics core and is able to run slightly faster than the AMD 780G.

The board features a a PS/2 port for the keyboard, six USB 2.0 ports, a HDMI connector, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a FireWire port and 7.1-channel analog audio jacks with a separate coaxial S/PDIF out. It also has headers for another six USB 2.0 ports and one additional FireWire port, six SATA connectors and, oddly enough, a connector on the middle of the board for a cable which is connected to a rear bracket with a D-sub connector on it.

Low-power i 45nm Phenomi, te 95W-ne verzije aktualnih Phenoma
 

AMD is planning to launch two 45nm Phenom X4 CPUs (Deneb) in 2008 with core frequencies of between 2.5-2.8GHz and 2.4-2.7GHz, with both adopting 6MB L3 Cache and having a TDP rating of 95W. AMD will announce the final order date for its 125W Phenom X4 9750 by the end of the second quarter and the CPU will be replaced by a 95W version – which is available this quarter – while the 95W Phenom X4 9850 will appear before January of 2009. The company is also planning to launch an updated version of its upcoming Phenom X4 9950 (schedule to launch in June) at the end of the fourth quarter. In addition to the current triple-core CPUs, AMD will launch the Phenom X3 8550 with a core frequency of 2.2GHz in the third quarter (production beginning in the second quarter) and the company will launch more triple-core CPUs in the fourth quarter.

The company will begin production and take orders for the low-power Phenom X4 9350e (Agena) in the third quarter, while the low-power 8450e (Tollman) will see production begin in the second quarter, though order availability will not begin until the third quarter. The Phenom X4 9150e, which was originally planned to be launched in the second quarter, will not be available for orders until the third quarter, along with the 9350e. In the fourth quarter, AMD will launch another low-power CPU, while in the first half of 2009, the 45nm low-power quad-core Phenom CPUs (Propus) will appear in the market.

AMD's 45nm CPUs are already in EVT testing and motherboard makers should receive their samples by August or September this year, if the process goes smoothly, 45nm Phenom X4 CPUs should appear in the market by the end of November.

Gigabyte 790GX + SB750 AM2+ ploča
 

The 790GX integrates a graphics core HD3300. This is slightly better than the HD3200 on the 780G boards. The board also incorporates side port memory which uses the ELPIDA memory for onboard buffer. Other than a heatpipe design, the board uses a newer south bridge SB750. The board also uses a 4+1 phase power design. It is said that AMD 790G IGP can do CrossFire (Dual 8x) and Hybrid CrossFire at the same time. There is no confirmation about this yet but we don't think doing a Hybrid CrossFire at the same time with CrossFire will bring much improvement in performance.

Jos malo novosti

Daneb je najavljen za kraj 2008, a Propus za početak 2009., otprilike bi se na tržištu trebali pojaviti kad i Nehalem. To bi također trebali biti i realni rokovi za AMD (AMD je održao demo 45nm procesora početkom 3. mjeseca na CeBITu). 8-core native dizajn navodno ne dolazi u obzir. Razmišljaju o 6-core native i 12-core MCM.

Ipak možda ništa od Kume.

AMD will unveil low-power triple-core, low-power quad-core, faster quad-core, and 45nm quad-core Phenoms in the second half of this year. In chronological order, AMD will first roll out 1.9GHz Phenom X3 8250e and 2.1GHz Phenom 8450e processors in mid to late August. Both CPUs will have three cores and 65W thermal envelopes, and they'll be joined by a quad-core, low-power Phenom X4 9350e later in the third quarter. The following quarter, AMD will reportedly strike again with a Phenom X4 9950 clocked at 2.6GHz.

AMD also plans to unleash its first 45nm Phenoms by the end of the fourth quarter. There will be two chips, with clock speeds sitting between 2.4GHz and 2.8GHz. AMD will follow up in the first quarter of 2009 with more 45nm Phenoms, this time clocked between 2.3GHz and 2.6GHz.

45nm Phenom baziran na Deneb jezgri clockan na 3.4GHz
 

CPU-Z screenshots of the chip in action reveal a 2.2GHz default clock speed, four chunks of 512KB L2 cache, 6MB of shared L3 cache—4MB more than on current Phenom X4s—and a 1.224V core voltage.
The CPU retains the four cores, four threads, and DDR2 memory support of current, 65nm quad-core Phenoms.

What's most interesting here is no doubt the overclocking results. The forum member who posted the data shows the chip completing a SuperPI 1M run at 2.8GHz with stock voltage, and he was able to push the sample up to 3GHz at 1.336V and a staggering 3.44GHz at 1.558V.

AMD stated back in April that it planned to start 45nm CPU production this summer, with volume shipments to follow in the fourth quarter of this year.
If these early numbers are any indication, AMD might get away with hitting 3GHz on commercial quad-core chips before long.

Što se mene tiče ovo je the next best thing (ono kaj bi mogao kupiti ak bude novaca).
Ak bude prilike tamo u zimi bi bilo lijepo upgredati sistem s jednom 790gx pločom i jednim denebom :)

Da se razumijemo, ne zbog super pi-a i bijesnog clocka nego zbog dobrih performansi koje očekujem i jeftinije cijene od konkurencije.

jedno pitanje: na ss-u u cpuz-u piše deneb - kaj nije deneb trebao biti verzija phenoma bez l3 cache-a?
njemu se veselim jer će sigurno biti pristupačniji cijenom od verzija sa 6mb l3 cachea, a performanse nebi trebale biti puno slabije.
osim ako nisu čuda napravili s tim l3 cacheom u odnosu na 65nm Phenome :)
