Just a small post to keep you guys updated :)

OCCT PT is right now at 1.1.0.b09 , and will soon be released as... 1.0.3. I've delayed 1.1.0, and want to release an intermediate version, because the changes needed for 1.1.0 would take too long.

This version brings many new features :
*New, more effective Error detection algorithm
*Multi-CPU temperature support
*Custom temperature and voltages support
*Modified graphic design
*Maximum CPU Temperature
*Hyperthreading as Dual-core Option ( i.e. treat a P4 HT as if it was a Dual-Core Pentium 4 ==> launch 2 threads )

It corrects some bugs, including the "Allendale" => "Conroe" one :)

I've sent a mail to domy_os with the new translation to do (language files to update can be found in the latest beta zipfile, in the locale subdir). About 15 new strings :)

Just feel free to tell me if you found any bugs :)

And keep in mind that we are dealing with a random thing : sometimes an error will be generated, sometimes not. OCCT just stresses your CPU to make an error likely to happen... but the time it is detected and produced may vary. But you can be sure of one thing : you should always trust the program detecting an error. OCCT, SP2004, Prime95 can be trusted Others too, probably. That's up to your own judgement !

OCCT is a bit more demanding and stresses the CPU a bit more, from testing results, as the other CPU stability program with error checking.

I'll never be on par with TAT on C2duos

Priznaje da nikada neće moći biti u rangu Intelova TAT-a ali da je u rangu ostalih programa za testiranje stabilnosti, ako ne i bolji :)

@ Tetedeiench

The 30 minute (auto)test isn`t best at generating errors because of instability, can you improve it somehow? Or is it just simpy made for getting those nice graphs under load :)?

EDIT:
Can you make a plug-in for Core Temp, as it is the best programme for temperature measuring of K8 and C2D?

Nice job on Everest plug-in ;)

domy_os 04.01.2007. 05:35

Tetedeiench, you've got a mail... :)

Za ostale: promijenio sam "prava brzina" u "originalni takt" i još neke sitnice...

Ako odaberen ''Yes'' smrzne se:(

Vuco 04.01.2007. 16:33

Ja ga nisam probao :D
Samo sa vidio da je tamo...

Ali bilo je riječi o tome što ne? Čini mi se kao da sam vidio taj error već negdje?

Hey vuco :) Thanks for your message on xtreme :)

The Auto test will be revamped soon (in 1.1.0). It'll include 1 hour of CPU&RAM, as well as 2 or 3 passes of the new memory checking algorithm.

As for Core temp, i'll look into it, but there isn't any Shared memory or any way to get the readings out of the program... i can't promise you anything. i'll check !

1.1.0 should bring :[*]New memory checking algorithm ( memtest-like, probably less effective though )[*]Revamped graphs ( especially the scales, probably unified )[*]New auto-test (at least one hour + memory checking algorithm)

and more on the way...

I'll try to look into Vista compatibility... as soon as i get my hands on a copy of Vista :) I'm waiting for one at my work.

Vuco 04.01.2007. 16:57

No problem ;)
Do what you can...

Al nema veze, u pozadini otvorin ITE Smart Guardiana :)

Znači Everest sere... ok, promjenim ga:)

U mene je bija Ultimate v3.01

Tetedeiench 04.01.2007. 18:33

I don't quite understand what you guys are saying, but only Everest Ultimate 3.50 and above is supported :)

His computer was freezing when he pushed the OK button for enableing shared memory for Everest. He had an unsupported version, that`s what we have talked about.

Now we know ;)

Tetedeiench 04.01.2007. 20:08

Unfortunatly, i haven't found any way of detecting Everest's version before trying to enable Shared memory in it :/

I'm looking for a way to minimize Everest's window as well :D Seems the SendMessage with WM_MINIMIZE doesn't work :D

Tetedeiench 08.01.2007. 23:31

This bug was fixed in the latest beta (1.1.0). In 1.0.2, every Conroe will be reported as Allendale...

Beta 11, almost there for 1.0.3 stable :)

Including the new translations (thanks domy_os ;) ), Vista compatibility, new everest beta compatibility, a few bugfixes in CPU detection... among new stuff.

Soon 1.0.3 :)

Swarm dude 16.01.2007. 11:46

Cool! Finally, Croatian translation, not quite that english bothers me, but it is always nice to see a program in your native language (thanx to domy for that) :D
Time to update my prehistoric version of OCCT with this new one.
I bet there will be no major problems in detecting my poor little old Northwood :D

Hmmm but there is sth. that confuses me. At the Custom test Options it has a "hook"(I don't actually know how to say this in english, in Croatian it is called kvačica. Help guys :D) at the Hyperthreading as Dual Core option, meaning that it is enabled. But my CPU doesn't support HT
Its not quite of an error, but it looks kind of strange when you don't have a HT processor ;)

Vuco 16.01.2007. 12:04

On a non HT processor, enabling/disabling this option doesn't do a single thing :D

It is enabled by default on HT CPUs because it gives better results... i could uncheck it if the CPU isn't HT-capable... i'll look into that :)

Swarm dude 16.01.2007. 20:51

Don't bother about that, I was looking around the options and that just cought my eye ;)
As I said, it's not an error or sth. like that :)

Too late... ;) It's done ;)

I'll release b12 tonight. Made some more changes to the GUI...

It's a work in progress, not yet finalized :

I have that reputation of being aware of my user's request :D

I actually read someone, in France, asking for the "VCore, 3.3V,..." again in the GUI.

I ended up revamping the GUI, even if i thought b11 was a RC... it is definitly not now :D

Look at that screen shot :
http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/5...ierman7dw0.png

Now they're asking me to remove, in the Monitoring part, the blank space on the left where "CPU", etc, is, and extend every cell to full extent of the width...

That's going to be a few hours... but mind you, i'll photoshop it first :D

I'm a bit late with the answer and seeing this thread, but better late than never.
Regarding the thread and the effort put into OCCT all I can say is: goood :
Keep up with the good work, both Tetedeiench and PcE members that are helping him.
